چکیده

Distribution of significant trans-eQTL in FVBBX tail epidermis. This figure plots the distribution of all eQTL measured in skin (≤ 5% FDR). Genomic location of SNPs across all chromosomes is plotted on the horizontal axis; location of probes is plotted on the vertical axis. No eQTL were calculated on the X or Y chromosomes. Solid vertical lines separate chromosomes. The dark line along the diagonal are putative cis-eQTL. Arrows indicate significant hot-spots (chi-squared test, Bonferroni correction for 223 tests). Total trans-eQTL count = 1034. (see Supplementary Tables 1,2 for specific chromosome and SNP breakdowns).

اثر 6 هفته تمرینات استقامتی بر TNF-α سرمی و حجم تومور موشهای حامل تومور پستان

Background and Objective: Breast cancer is a genetic and chronic inflammatory disease with an increasing incidence among Iranian women. Researchers have shown that regular exercise is presumed to have prophylactic effect and adjuvant therapy in inhibition of tumor growth. So the aim of this study was to assess the effect of endurance training on serum TNF-α in breast cancer bearing mice. Materi...

IL-17 Mediated Inflammation Promotes Tumor Growth and Progression in the Skin

The mechanism for inflammation associated tumor development is a central issue for tumor biology and immunology and remains to be fully elucidated. Although IL-17 is implicated in association with inflammation mediated carcinogenesis, mechanisms are largely elusive. In the current studies, we showed that IL-17 receptor-A gene deficient (IL-17R-/-) mice were resistant to chemical carcinogen-indu...

The Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor Increases Cytokine Production and Cutaneous Inflammation in Response to Ultraviolet Irradiation

The epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is activated in cutaneous keratinocytes upon ultraviolet (UV) exposure and has been implicated in ultraviolet-(UV-)induced inflammation and skin tumorigenesis. Egfr mutant mice and EGFR inhibitors were used to investigate the hypothesis that EGFR activation augments inflammation following UV irradiation. Topical treatment of mouse skin with the EGFR i...

Reduction in squamous cell carcinomas in mouse skin by dietary zinc supplementation

Inadequate dietary Zn consumption increases susceptibility to esophageal and other cancers in humans and model organisms. Since Zn supplementation can prevent cancers in rodent squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) models, we were interested in determining if it could have a preventive effect in a rodent skin cancer model, as a preclinical basis for considering a role for Zn in prevention of human nonm...

Treatment of Murine Tumor Models of Breast Adenocarcinoma by Continuous Dual-Frequency Ultrasound

Introduction: Acoustic transient cavitation is the primary mechanism of sonochemical reaction and has potential use for tumor treatment. In this study, the in vivo anti-tumor effect of simultaneous dual-frequency ultrasound at low-level intensity (ISATA < 6 W/cm2) was investigated in a spontaneous murine model of breast adenocarcinoma in Balb/c mice. Materials and Methods: Forty tumor bearing m...
